In this arrangement (in the key of C major), the guitar’s timbre brings out the music’s introspective quality: phrases feel spoken rather than projected, and the subtle shifts of harmony take on a more intimate, confessional tone. The instrument’s capacity for delicate dynamic shading allows the music’s sadness to emerge not as overt drama but as a quiet, continuous undercurrent.
